Former India cricketer Aakash Chopra brilliantly shut down a troll who called him “Mr chamcha of Virat Kohli” on Twitter. The ex-India opener was referred to as the user for tweeting in praise of Virat Kohli who took a great catch but not doing the same when Manish Pandey took a stunning one-handed catch in the second ODI at Rajkot to dismiss David Warner. In his reply, Aakash Chopra asked the user to “get a life” and pointed out to him that he was doing commentary at that time when Pandey took the stunning catch and also said: “I don’t tweet while commentating”.

On Sunday, Virat Kohli took an exceptional catch with great effort in the field to dismiss the dangerous Marnus Labuschagne during the third and final ODI against Australia at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The catch was so important that Labuschagne along with Steve Smith were stitching a stable partnership and take the Australians to a big total. Virat Kohli initially saved two fine runs to keep Labuschagne on strike and then followed it up with the wonderful catch to dismiss the Australian batsman for 54.

Virat Kohli’s effort ended the 127-run stand between Steve Smith and Labuschagne as well. Aakash Chopra was quick to tweet about the stunning catch and pointed to the captain Kohli’s two fine fielding stops before the catch but that didn’t seem to go well with one Twitter user.

The catch proved important to India’s cause as the hosts managed to keep the Australians restricted to 286 for nine wickets in 50 overs despite a brilliant 132-ball 131 from Steve Smith.

India chased down the total with ease on the back of fine batting performances from Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Rohit smashed his 29th ODI century while Virat Kohli scored 89 off 91 balls as India reached the target with seven wickets in hand and 15 balls remaining.
