During the first T20I of Australia’s tour of England in 2010 at Birmingham against Pakistan, Mohammad Amir bowled a sensational spell to restrict Australia in the second innings. Pakistan ended up winning the match by 23 runs.
Shahid Afridi, the then Pakistani captain, won the toss and chose to bat. On the back of a fantastic half-century from Umar Akmal, 64 (31), with the help of seven fours and three sixes, Pakistan scored 167-8 in 20 overs. With bowling figures of 4-0-25-2, Shaun Tait was the pick of the Australian bowlers.
In the second innings, Australia were bundled out for 144 in 18.4 overs. Opener David Warner had top-scored with 41 (31), including six fours. For Pakistan, Saeed Ajmal had picked up the best figures of 3.4-0-26-3. However, it was Amir, who dismissed three specialist batsmen in Shane Watson (0), Cameron White (17) and Steven Smith (12). He ended up with figures of 4-0-27-3.
