BCCI Announce the Same Squad of Harmanpreet Kaur-Led India

The All-India Women’s Selection Committee has announced the same squad of Harmanpreet Kaur-led India for the final two T20Is against South Africa women. Earlier they picked for the first three T20Is. After seeing some excellent performances in those matches, the committee decided to keep the unchanged team. India women won the first game by 11 runs, while the second T20I was washed out without a ball being bowled.

although Shafali Verma who made her debut in the first T20I, lost her wicket for a duck, Smriti Mandhana, as usual, was seen in her form. Along with her, Jemimah Rodrigues too provided some valuable runs. However, it was the captain Harmanpreet Kaur who made the things easy for India by scoring 43 off 34. Shabnim Ismail picked up 3 wickets and India ended up at a below-par score of 130.

While chasing, South Africa were seen struggling with the absence of regular captain Dane van Niekerk, Marizanne Kapp and Chloe Tryon. Although former captain Mignon du Preez left no stone unturned to took her side to a win by scoring 59 off 43, it was Deepti Sharma whose 3 maiden wickets in 3 overs did the job for India.
