The Bombay High Court has ruled the decision against the BCCI regarding the media rights issue for the IPL 2022. The BCCI on March 17, has said that they will release the IPL media rights as soon as possible after soring out the minor delay due to procedural issues. Meanwhile, reports in Cricbuzz further stated that they have denied all reports which stated that the delay happened because of the pressure from the host broadcaster, Star.

However, The High Court has said that Star had no issues with the rights being released at that moment. Now, Bombay High Court Chief Justice BP Colabawala has quashed the reports after hearing which upheld rescission of media rights by the BCCI to World Sport Group (India) Pvt. Ltd. as well.
