Almost all Indian cricketers will be busy for the next two months. Where they will be participating in the IPL and will have to travel very frequently. Hence, it is highly unlikely for them to make it to their constituency on the voting day. Hence, Ashwin wants a special service for them so they can cast vote in whichever city they will be on the voting day.

“I would also like to request you Narendra Modi sir to enable every cricketer playing in the IPL to be allowed to cast their votes from whichever place they find themselves at,”

Ashwin wrote in response to the tweet.

The general elections will be held from April 11 to May 19 in seven phases, the dates clashing with the IPL which got underway from March 23.
