During the ongoing first T20I between India and Sri Lanka at Cuttack, Mahendra Singh Dhoni was promoted at No. 4 in the batting order. Dhoni came in to bat in the 14th over after Shreyas Iyer was dismissed by Nuwan Pradeep.

Dhoni made his intentions clear from the word go. The aggressive intent was visible from his body language.

On the fourth ball of the 18th over against Thisara Perera, a savvy Dhoni guided the ball towards the fine-leg boundary for a boundary. Dhoni was proactive to read Perera’s slower delivery and made full use of it.
