The two-day mega auction has ended in Bengaluru where 10 teams bought as many as 204 players after shelling out a total of ₹551.70 crores as well. However, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) made headlines with their pick of players. But fans were not happy with their buy of Maheesh Theekshana and they asked to boycott the four-time IPL champions also.

Even many people are sharing photos of Maheesh Theekshana saying that CSK should leave him as it is owned by Tamils. However, Maheesh Theekshana is Sri Lankan fast bowler and CSK bought him for Rs 70 lakh. He comes from Sinhalese background. And, as per the report, Sinhalese soldiers allegedly committed war crimes against Tamilians in Sri Lanka. As a result, social media has been flooded with messages demanding to boycott the franchise. Even, a few said that the CSK should remove Maheesh Theekshana from the team as well.
