Custom Officials Found Two Watches Worth 5 Crores With Hardik Pandya

Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been going through a tough time both on and off the field. After getting dropped from the Indian T20I squad for the home series against New Zealand, he is now in trouble with the custom department.

It is being reported that he is found with two luxury watched worth 5 crore INR on his arrival from Dubai where he was to participate in the T20 World Cup 2021.

According to the report by ABP, the incident happened when Hardik was returning from Dubai after playing in the T20 World Cup. According to the report, the stylish Indian cricketer could not produce the invoices for the watches when asked by the custom officers at the Mumbai airport.

The cricketer did not have invoices for the watches, nor had he declared these watches as customs items. As a consequence, the customs officials confiscated his watches.

Earlier last year, Mumbai Indians all-rounder & elder brother of Hardik, Krunal Pandya was stopped and questioned by Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) personnel at the Mumbai International Airport after he returned back from IPL 2020.

Hardik had a torrid time during the recently-concluded T20 World Cup 2021 in the UAE. Team India suffered two defeats in the first two games against Pakistan and New Zealand, which hampered their chances to qualify for the semifinals.

Hardik Pandya couldn’t perform with the bat. He wasn’t bowling when the tournament started but he resumed bowling towards the later stage of the tournament. However, it was too late for Team India to utilize his services.

Later on, he was dropped from the Indian squad for the upcoming home T20I series against New Zealand.
