India and New Zealand gained rights to play in the finals by being the top two teams during the two-year cycle. India defeated every team they played in this face barring New Zealand. Thus, the final will be a contest to watch out for.

New Zealand will first play against England in a two-match Test series starting in early June. On the other hand, India will only get some practice time in the middle after completing their 10-day quarantine after arriving in England. The first three days will be a hard quarantine while after that, players can train in Southampton’s stadium.

Sharing his views on the final, Australian pacer Pat Cummins said the weather condition of England may favour New Zealand while playing against India.

During a Q & A session on his YouTube channel, Cummins said “It will be a good match. There has been a lot of rain in England and from the conditions point of view, it is closer to New Zealand’s. It is going to be interesting as both teams haven’t played a Test match since a couple of months. It is a one-off so anything can happen. But the conditions would suit New Zealand more than India.”
