With Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 being suspending for an indefinite time after multiple cases in the various franchise, England players have received an ultimatum. The much-secure bio-bubble of IPL 2021 came under scrutiny when Varun Chakravarthy and Sandeep Warrier tested positive for COVID-19. As per reports of the Daily Mail, England Cricket Board (ECB) said that their cricketers will be required to undergo mandatory 10-day quarantine after coming back to England.

On Monday, Kolkata Knight Riders’ official Twitter handle announced that their players were tested positive for COVID-19. It forced the BCCI to postpone their clash against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) later in the day. The crisis deepened when reportedly, three members of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) contingent also tested positive for the disease.
