Fans react as Jay Shah bowls seven overs in the BCCI AGM game

The president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Sourav Ganguly, secretary Jay Shah and other officials of the board took part in a festival match before BCCI’s Annual General Meeting (AGM). Mohammed Azharuddin who is the president of Hyderabad Cricket Association also featured in the match apart from Ganguly.

However, it was Jay Shah’s team that emerged winner by one run. He scored 10 runs with the bat and dismissed Azharuddin too. Meanwhile, he bowled seven overs out of 15 overs, giving away 58 runs and claimed a total of three wickets in the match as well. And, after that, fans took a slight dig at India’s all-rounder Hardik Pandya as they stated that the BCCI secretary was fitter than Hardik who has been struggling with his fitness.

However, the BCCI AGM festival game between BCCI Secretary XI and BCCI President XI exceeded the expectations of the fans. Batting first, BCCI Secretary’s XI posted 128 for the loss of 3 wickets in their quota of 15 overs. Jaydev Shah (retired) was teh highest run-getter as he had amassed 40 runs. Arun Dhumal chipped in with 36 runs to his name.

On the other hand, former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly registered one wicket to his name for BCCI President XI. In reply, BCCI President’s XI fell short of the target. They lost the game by a run. Sourav Ganguly top-scored with 35 runs (retired). On the other side of the coin, Jay Shah bowled really well.
