Veteran India spinner Harbhajan Singh feels that Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni might not play in the next IPL season as well. However, the second leg of the IPL has resumed in the UAE and CSK has started with a thumping win against arch-rivals Mumbai Indians by 20 runs on Sunday.

With the win, MS Dhoni’s team is currently placed at the top of the points table with 12 points from eight matches as well. Meanwhile, Harbhajan feels that Dhoni will try to win the title this season in order to finish his IPL career on a high note.

“I do not feel that MS Dhoni will be in his mentor role at the moment. He is currently in the captain’s role and I believe his complete focus will be on winning the championship for his team. It is uncertain if he will play next season, hence he will want to finish on a high note,” Harbhajan told Sports Tak.

Along with this, Harbhajan Singh has also said that it would be a challenge for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to play against CSK and Mumbai Indians as well. Notably, KKR will next take on Mumbai Indians on September 23 at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

Harbhajan Singh stole the show

“It is always a challenge to face MS Dhoni’s team because he often has a very good squad by his side. As CSK often takes the field with a number of experienced players, it is always a closely fought battle against them. If KKR wants to beat the likes of CSK and MI, then we will have to play like champions,” Harbhajan Singh added.

Meanwhile, the Royal Challengers Bangalore team has congratulated Virat on his 200th IPL match. His teammate and veteran wicketkeeper-batsman AB de Villiers has wished him the same and also gifted him a special jersey on this special occasion as well.

However, his 200th appearance came against Kolkata Knight Riders in the second game in the UAE yesterday as the league has resumed the day before with the game between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. Notably, RCB has failed to win the game. And, after the forgetful defeat, they will now try to work on their loopholes and return strongly.
