Harsha Bhogle Feels Dhoni Has A Cucumber Mindset

When it comes to wicketkeeping the first name that can strike in your mind would be MS Dhoni as one of the quickest with the gloves behind the stumps, we have seen him keeping since the last 14 years and he has been very consistent with that job as he has tried innovative things in dismissing the batsmen.

MS Dhoni has given many pieces of evidence to the cricket fans of the World to show he is one of the veteran wicketkeepers of all time. The T20 World Cup 2016 where the match was turned completely by Hardik Pandya in the final over, where the last ball was missed by the batsman and went to MSD and he rushed straight to the stumps to get an important run-out to win the match.

 

Another example of Dhoni’s excellence was witnessed in yesterday’s match at Ranchi, where Australia was batting first and the opening partnership between Finch and Khawaja of 193 runs was just separated by Kuldeep Yadav as he trapped the Australian skipper Finch for a leg-before-wicket on  93 and after Finch’s departure, India had to face the heat of Glenn Maxwell who has been outstanding with the bat since this tour.

Maxie did not take much time to settle on the pitch as he charged against Kuldeep Yadav with two sixes, Yadav was the man who got him out in the last match. Maxwell was batting on 47 with 3 fours and 3 sixes each.

Kuldeep Yadav was bowling the final ball of 42nd over to Shaun Marsh where Marsh cut it on the off-side and intended to steal a single, but Jadeja fielded at the short cover and fired the throw like a bullet to Dhoni who just flicked the ball with his right-hand which hit directly the stumps and that was the end of Maxwell’s threatening show towards India.

Cricket Analyst Harsha Bhogle commented that “when there is an earthquake Dhoni will go for a walk” it was a prove of Dhoni’s coolness in any situation. Bhogle also added that the former Indian skipper is as cool as a cucumber mindset and Maxwell’s runout is another achievement in his career.
