“I told him as well after the game as well that I have seen many impact innings and many innings under pressure over so many years. I have not seen many better than how Rajat played today. Under pressure, big game, first uncapped player,” Virat Kohli said. “The magnitude of the game was so big that I was feeling the tension in the air because I have been in those situations where you have to cross the line as a team.”

Moreover, Virat Kohli has said that the RCB camp was feeling nervous towards the end of the match when KL Rahul and Deepak Hooda were playing well. While Hooda fell for a 26-ball 45 to Wanindu Hasaranga, Rahul tried to play the finisher’s role as well. However, he fell for 79 from 58 balls in the penultimate over to Josh Hazlewood as well.

“There were a few tense moments, I think Waniya (Wanindu) bowling through the middle overs was outstanding. Josh bowling the 2 overs was outstanding. Harshal was unbelievable. All in all we are very happy we got across the line. The best thing is that we have one day (break) and then we play again. We travel tomorrow, so absolutely can’t wait to get to Ahmedabad and take the field again. We are so excited, we have played good cricket. Hopefully, 2 more games and we all can celebrate,” Virat Kohli concluded.
