Match 43 of IPL 2023 saw the verbal field in the field as Royal Challengers Bangalore batter Virat Kohli got involved in a heated argument with Lucknow Super Giants mentor Gautam Gambhir as well. The duo reportedly holds a grudge against each other ever since their verbal fight way back in IPL 2013 during a game between RCB vs KKR as well.

However, taking a hilarious dig at the post-match drama that happened in Lucknow, Iceland Cricket tweeted that they love it when IPL games are played in the ‘day-fight’ format. Iceland Cricket took to their Twitter account following RCB’s 18-run win over LSG and wrote, “We love it when IPL matches are played using the day-fight format.”

However, it all began when Gautam Gambhir interfered in a conversation between Kohli and LSG opener Kyle Mayers irked by the on-field spat with Naveen-ul-Haq as well. The former KKR skipper pulled Mayers away to interrupt their chat which annoyed Kohli and they both began charging at each other aggressively. Meanwhile, they had a face-to-face chat where Kohli could be seen trying to calm Gambhir down by putting a hand on his shoulder but it didn’t go down well between the two as they were seen involved in a furious conversation later on and had to be separated by KL Rahul and Amit Mishra as well.
The heated rivalry could be seen even in the social media accounts too of the respective teams as RCB tweeted the photograph of Kohli silencing the crowd and added, “What goes around comes around! 🤫 Our 12th Man Army send their regards. 🤷♂️.”. They even retweeted LSG’s celebratory post after their thrilling one-wicket win over RCB during match 15 of the ongoing season where they had taken a dig at RCB’s catchphrase ‘Play Bold’.

LSG had taken to Twitter and written, “Ladies & gentlemen, this is how you…𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐘 𝐁𝐎𝐋𝐃 ”. Igniting the rivalry between the two teams RCB retweeted the post and replied to LSG in their own style by using their (LSG’s) catchphrase ‘Adab see Harayenge’. “Adab se Haraye! 🫡 #PlayBold.,” RCB’s Twitter handle posted after their 18-run win.
Aur adab se tweet bhi kiye. 👍
1-1 and hope we meet again. Enjoy your night!
