On Saturday (July 11), the living legend, Amitabh Bachchan shared a new on his official Twitter handle that he has been tested positive for the deadly COVID-19 infection. As it was one of teh most shocking news for the Indian people from the legendary actor, reactions poured in from all corners for the veteran actor.

Amitabh Bachchan shared the news from his official Twitter handle as he wrote, “T 3590 -I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests , results awaited .. All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested !”

As a result, the whole Indian cricket fraternity came forward on social media and wished for a speedy recovery for Big B. The Indian stalwarts like Sachin Tendulkar, Suresh Raina, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Irfan Pathan, Mohammad Kaif, Aakash Chopra, cricket expert Harsha Bhogle, and a lot more people from the cricketing fraternity prayed for the 77-year-old’s speedy recovery.

Recently, Senior Bachchan’s movie, Gulabo Sitabo was released on Amazon Prime Video and it is directed by Shoojit Sircar and it also stars Ayushmann Khurrana. The film avoided the theatrical release as it was available on the OTT platform post the devastating effects of the novel coronavirus pandemic. 

His upcoming ventures are Brahmastra, Chehre, and Jhund. Further, Big B was also expected to make a comeback with a new season of the famous television quiz show, Kaun Banega Crorepati.

Apart from Big B, his son Abhishek Bachchan has also tested positive with mild symptoms. Informing the same, he tweeted, “Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you.”

With the nation already battling a tough fight against the deadly virus, the news of the father-son’s illness created a huge impact nationwide within a few minutes.
