Kohli kick started off his IPL game by an astounding score of 90 in his previous game but denying to take the orange caps his team lost. The previous day he looked promising too scoring 30 out 24 balls. But the star of the game was the Proteas batsman AB De Villiers who played mind-boggling innings of 90.

Things looked great until Virat got dismissed on a stunning catch. On the 11th over of the match, Harshal Patel came to bowl on although to break the destructive partnership. He bowled a fuller and Virat normally hit his flick shot in an attempt to send the ball out of the park. But it felt a bit short near the boundary line. Boult came as a savior and took a catch out of thin air with an opposite hand and maintained an equilibrium not to touch the rope. The crowd and team were stunned. TV footages too ran every couple of minutes. Boult himself couldn’t believe.

Virat on the post-match conference didn’t forget to appraise the effort. He said he was not angry to give away his wicket but startled by that brilliant piece of fielding.

“It’s one of those things you see regularly in the IPL. It’s good for the fans as well and when you look back you don’t really feel bad getting out to a catch like that, full credit to Trent,” Kohli said as quoted by the Times Now.

Though Gambhir seemed depressed to face another defeat he too couldn’t stop himself from praising Boult.

“It’s the best catch I’ve ever seen. It was unbelievable because left-hander and he grabbed it with his right hand. It’s never easy.”
