On Monday night, the hosts Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) suffered a humiliating 10-wicket defeat (with 71 balls to spare) against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Holkar Cricket Stadium (Indore).

RCB captain Virat Kohli elected to field first after winning the toss. KXIP batsmen had the disaster performances with the bat as they were bowled out for just 88 runs in 15.1 overs.

In reply, RCB chased down that target successfully in just 8.1 overs without losing any wicket.

Now, we will briefly talk about some important reasons for KXIP’s defeat in this game.

Once again Umesh Yadav destroyed the top-order batting line-up. This time he dismissed the destructive in-form KXIP openers KL Rahul and Chris Gayle, before getting another wicket of no.9 batsman Andrew Tye. The Player of the Match award winner Umesh Yadav had an impressive bowling figure of 4-0-23-3.

While Umesh Yadav dismissed the two in-form openers, other RCB bowlers got chances to create pressure on the inconsistent middle-order batting line-ups and that resulted outstandingly for the visiting side.
