IPL 2018: Rohit Sharma’s run-out further dents Mumbai Indians

During the 21st match of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at Jaipur, captain of Mumbai Indians, Rohit Sharma’s run-out left his team in a strangle. Having lost Suryakumar Yadav (72) in the same over, the wicket came as a big blow for the Indians.

After Sharma won the toss and chose to bat, his team did not get off to the best of starts as they lost Evin Lewis (0) in the first over itself. A 130-run partnership between Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan provide a vital foundation to Mumbai Indians’ innings.

Rohit Sharma wasn’t even in the frame.

The partnership was followed by Mumbai Indians losing a flurry of wickets. Ishan Kishan was the first one to be dismissed in the 15th over. The next over saw both Yadav and Sharma walking back to the pavilion.

Sharma got out on the fourth ball of the 16th over after he played his first delivery to the cover fielder and started running. In which was a suicidal run, he was fairly short of the crease as Ajinkya Rahane threw a pinpoint throw which hit the stumps.
