Delhi’s top-order crumbled

DC didn’t get off to the best possible start they were eyeing for this game against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Openers Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw got out cheaply leaving their team in tatters. Rishabh Pant was not at his usual best and just five runs before getting out to Mohammad Nabi. Colin Ingram also failed to rescue his team in the hour of need. Delhi was 75/5 in 13.3 overs which sums up the story of their batting lineup.

Jonny Bairstow’s early assault

Hyderabad got off to a blazing start. All thanks to Jonny Bairstow who went after bowlers to score 48 runs in just 28 balls, including nine fours and one six. His heroics led SRH to score 62 runs in the power play without losing any wicket. These quick runs proved vital for Hyderabad towards the end.

Mohammad Nabi was the difference

Afghani all-rounder proved his worth in the team once again as he contributed with both bat and ball. First, he took two important wickets with the ball while he conceded just 21 runs in his four overs. He, then, returned to contribute with the bat when his team was in need of a finisher. Nabi sent Kagiso Rabada for a four and six off successive balls to take SRH over the line by five wickets.
