They were inserted to bat first after losing the toss. Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers scored sizzling half-centuries to take RCB’s total to 205/3 in 20 overs. Marcus Stoinis’ finishing touch gave a finishing touch to RCB, which took their total this far after Kohli and De Villiers got out.

In response, Kolkata was in hunt of this run-chase since the very beginning. Chris Lynn gave them a flying start and scored 43 runs in 31 balls, where he hit four fours and two towering sixes. Nitish Rana and Robin Uthappa played crucial cameos to help their quest for this mammoth total. Andre Russell turned his beast mode on towards the end when KKR required 53 runs in 18 balls. He scored 48 runs off just 13 balls to win the game by five wickets.

Virat Kohli (RCB)

Royal Challengers Bangalore was in need of their Talismanic skipper in this game and he pulled his A game against Kolkata Knight Riders. Kohli came to open the batting along with Parthiv Patel and gave RCB a flying start. His first two balls were sent for two fours and showed his intent straightaway. He scored his first half-century of this season and got out after scoring 84 runs in 49 balls, including nine fours and two sixes.

AB de Villiers (RCB)

Mr. 360 was at his usual best against KKR at M Chinnaswamy Stadium. He came to bat after Parthiv Patel’s wicket and shared a crucial 108-run partnership with Kohli. AB de Villiers thrashed KKR bowlers in all parts of the grounds for his innings of 63 runs for which he took just 32 balls. De Villiers was at his explosive best as he scored five fours and four sixes.

Andre Russell (KKR)

The Superman from Kolkata Knight Riders was at his usual best against RCB. When they were required to score 53 runs off 18 balls, Russell finished the things in just 13 balls. He smashed RCB bowlers in all corners of the park and scored 48 runs in just 13 balls. He won the game for KKR single-handedly. KKR won the game by five wickets.
