It’s Match 43 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) as Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) face the Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Eden Gardens. The winning form has suddenly deserted KKR as they have now lost five matches on the trot and are placed sixth on the table.

If they want to make it to the playoffs safely, they will have to win all their remaining matches. Rajasthan is at the seventh place on the table just above Bangalore, and lately, they have looked like a much-better unit under Steve Smith’s captaincy.

#5 Riyan Parag

The 17-year old Royal from Assam made his debut against the Chennai Super Kings in the match they lost off the last ball. He became the second youngest debutant to take a wicket in the IPL in his third match when he dismissed Shreyas Iyer. However, he impressed everyone in his second match versus the Mumbai Indians when he scored a 29-ball 43 with five fours and a six to steer the Royals to a 5-wicket win. He is a handy batsman in the middle-order and also bowls effective leg-spin.
