AB de Villiers has been one of the most dependable batsmen in the RCB squad for several years after their captain, and they will once again be looking at him to show his class against what is arguably the best bowling attack in the league. The South African has a good record against Mumbai Indians, including a phenomenal knock of 133 off 59 deliveries all the way back in 2015.

Even last year, de Villiers smashed an unbeaten 55 off just 24 deliveries in the first league meeting between the two teams. In IPL 2020, he had amassed 454 runs in 15 games last year at a strike rate of 158.7 and an average of 45.40. However, he hasn’t played any competitive game

He was second only to Delhi Capitals’ Kagiso Rabada who bagged 30 wickets. The 2020 season was Bumrah’s best in IPL. Apart from the wickets, the 27-year-old managed to bowl at a miserly economy rate of 6.73.
