Match number five of the Vivo IPL is scheduled to be played between defending champions Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders on 13th April 2021 at MA Chidambaram stadium in Chennai. Mumbai Indians comprise of some very fine blend of experience and youth and are still the team to beat in this tournament. They have the great Pollard and swashbuckling all-rounder Hardik Pandya in their team who on their day can set the stage on fire for the Mumbai team. The MI team has always been the slow starters in the IPL but the world has seen how they bounced back to lift the title five times.

KKR is also looking a very good-looking side in this year’s IPL. They had a fine outing in their last game and they would look to carry that winning momentum this game also. Kolkata would be banking heavily on their X-factor Andre Russell to come back to form so as to set the spirits more higher of the franchise.

Both the teams have played 27 games against each other so far in the IPL with Mumbai dominating with 21 wins over the KKR team. This time looks like another great showtime is ready when both teams face each other on Tuesday night.

Mumbai Indians having lost their first game still looks a very balanced with all the places occupied by some very talented cricketers in the team.  Mumbai would be bolstered by the return of Quinton de Kock in the team set-up though his replacement Chris Lynn fired in all cards in the last game as he scored a good-looking inning of 49 runs off just 35 deliveries. Their bowling also looks sorted as they made a good match of the below-par score which was set by their batsmen.

Probable XI: Rohit Sharma (c), Quinton de Kock (wk), Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya, Kieron Pollard, Krunal Pandya, Rahul Chahar, Marco Jansen, Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah
