Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will be locking horns with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the sixth match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Wednesday. SRH go into the contest having come second best in their opening encounter against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

SRH had defeated RCB in the playoffs last year. SRH’s 2016 IPL win also came at the expense of RCB, whom they beat in the final. While the Sunrisers seem to hold the edge, Bangalore should prove to be a handful in what promises to be an exciting IPL 2021 clash.

In contrast, RCB stunned defending champions Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2021 opener. In the head-to-head battle, SRH has a 10-7 lead over RCB. As the teams prepare to face each other, We take a look at three-player battles to watch out for:
#3 Virat Kohli vs Bhuvneshwar Kumar

RCB captain Virat Kohli was looking in good touch with his knock of 33 in the first match against Mumbai, but he perished to Jasprit Bumrah. The manner of dismissal wasn’t an unfamiliar one for either Kohli or Bumrah. Like Bumrah for Mumbai, Bhuvneshwar Kumar is the pace spearhead for SRH. With his experience, he would be expected to deliver well for the SRH. Kumar has all the variations in the bag, including the deadly knuckleball.

Against KKR, Bhuvneshwar Kumar looked off-color and was taken for plenty. Kumar though loves a challenge and will enjoy the battle against his Indian captain. Like Bumrah, Kumar also has the ability to slant the ball back in and Kohli will need to find the answer to the problem.
#2 David Warner vs Harshal Patel
David Warner has been known for his consistency in IPL as he has amassed 00 plus runs in every edition of the tournament that he has featured in since 2014. He had an off-day in the first match against KKR, and now he will be raring to continue his dominance against RCB. Harshal Patel was the surprise hero for RCB with the ball against MI. He also created history during the match, becoming the first bowler to claim a five-for against Mumbai. Being an attacking batsman, Warner will look to take Patel on.
#1 AB de Villiers vs Rashid Khan

AB de Villiers, carrying on from where he left off last year, was looking in phenomenal touch against Mumbai. At a time when it seemed like the match had slipped away, he once against brought RCB back into the contest with some excellent hitting. In the end, Bangalore won even as he was run out in the last over. de Villiers, without a doubt, will be expected to fire hard against SRH as well.

Even as most other bowlers struggled in the wake of KKR’s brutal assault, SRH spinner Rashid Khan was seen bowling at a miserly economy rate. Rashid ended up conceding only 24 in his four overs. He will face a great challenge when he comes up against ABD. Neither player will give an inch. Difficult to predict a winner in this enticing contest.
