Hardik Pandya hasn’t bowled in the IPL 2021’s second leg in the UAE. Apart from his bowling, he has been average with the bat as well. He scored only 10 runs in 8 balls against SRH and couldn’t do the job he is expected of.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma after the match mentioned that he will resume bowling in a week or so.

“He is getting better day by day, so in the next week or so he might be able to bowl. Only the doctors and physios will be able to give an update on that,” he revealed while speaking in the post-match press conference.

He further mentioned that Hardik was under constant observation of the trainers, physios and the medical team.

“In terms of his bowling, he hasn’t bowled yet. So, the physios, trainers and the medical team are working on his bowling. As of now, all I know is that he hasn’t bowled a single ball yet but we wanted to take one game at a time and see where he stands,” Rohit added.

Hardik scored only 127 runs at an average of 14.11 with the bat in the IPL 2021. However, this doesn’t bother Rohit Sharma who is certain of the quality Hardik possesses.

“As far as his batting is concerned, yes, he will be a little bit disappointed. We know his quality, there is no doubt about that and he has comeback from tough situations before as well. Personally, for him, he will not be happy with his batting. The team has confidence in his ability,” Rohit said.

Hardik’s next assignment will be with Team India in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2021 in the UAE.
