DC scored 164/5 in 20 overs riding on handy knocks from Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw.

Chasing the total, RCB got off to the worst possible start. Devdutt Padikkal and Virat Kohli got out in no time and left RCB gasping for air. AB de Villiers walked out to bat at the number and shared 49 runs with Srikar Bharat for the third wicket. Axar Patel removed De Villiers and rocked RCB’s chances of winning.

RCB’s most in-form batsman Glenn Maxwell came out at 5. He was living on the edge throughout his stay at the crease. Pant asked Axar to bowl the 14th over in his quest to remove Maxwell as well. Axar drew a false shot on the first ball. Maxwell miscued the ball high in the air but Shreyas Iyer failed to hold on to the catch.
