IPL 2022: Match 62 (CSK vs GT) – Probable XI And Fantasy XI

The defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will be locking horns with the new entrants Gujarat Titans (GT) in the 62nd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the  Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai . Both teams are coming to the contest after having contrasting results. While CSK suffered a loss in their previous match against the five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI), GT thrashed the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by 62 runs.

Coming to the contest, both teams will have nothing to lose as GT has already qualified for the play-offs after managing to win nine matches out of the 12 games they have played so far. On the other hand, the Yellow Army, on the other hand, has lost 8 out of 12 matches and is out of the competition. However, both teams will want to win the encounter for their fans.

CSK is currently placed at the ninth position on the points table of this season of IPL 2022 whereas Gujarat Titans is currently placed at the top of the points table. The last time they played against each other in this season, Gujarat Titans beat Chennai Super Kings by 3 wickets.

CSK will be gaining to dismiss Wriddhiman Saha early. Dwayne Bravo, who has a good record against the opener – conceding just 36 runs in as many deliveries and dismissing him thrice before. David Miller, the protagonist of the three-wicket win of the reverse fixture, has been dismissed four times before by the West Indian. Rahul Tewatia too has not had great success against Bravo, falling twice in 19 balls and managing just 25 runs.

One of their finds of the season – Yash Dayal – could set the tone early against CSK. Their opener Ruturaj Gaikwad has a poor record against left-arm pacer in the PowerPlay – getting out to them eight times in 15 innings and scoring just 91 from 95 balls.
