She didn’t get any assistance from any of her teammates. Her team was reeling at 7/3 and lost their fourth wicket for 19. But Rodrigues was unfazed by what was happening at the other end. She held her end tight and scored swashbuckling 92 runs in just 43 balls, which features 17 fours and one six.

“England is my second home, and Yorkshire, I am buying a house here! I kept it simple, it was a tough time sitting out not getting runs. Never easy when you are chasing and wickets fall, and one of them was my mistake. A matter of keeping calm and sticking to my basics. I love playing at Headingley, and the crowd was phenomenal,” a thrilled Jemimah Rodrigues, who brought up her fifty in 26 balls, said after the win.

Superchargers registered a six-wicket win in their opening game with 15 balls to spare. Now, they will face Trent Rockets on Monday in their next encounter.
