Jimmy Neesham backs Eoin Morgan in the Morgan-Ashwin argument in IPL 2021

The second phase of the Indian Premier League 2021 has been in the news ever since it has started in the UAE. Recently, during the match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Delhi Capitals (DC), Eoin Morgan and R Ashwin were involved in a heated argument. While the cricketing world got divided into two parts, Jimmy Neesham too joined hands and shared his choice.

It happened on the first delivery of the final over bowled by Tim Southee when R Ashwin came down the track and decided to hit the ball for a six with a pull shot. The ball went up in the air and Nitish Rana took the catch at the deep backward square. However, soon after the dismissal, some heated arguments were seen between Southee and Ashwin and Morgan too joined as well. KKR wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik decided to intervene and managed to part Morgan and Ashwin away from each other.

However, Jimmy Neesham recently took to Twitter and wrote “Morgan obviously” when he asked about his choice in this matter. He shared that while answering a question asked by a user.

Meanwhile, Ashwin has recently revealed the reason for the argument with Eoin Morgan. He took to Twitter and shared his views. He wrote, “1. I turned to run the moment I saw the fielder throw and dint know the ball had hit Rishabh. 2. Will I run if I see it!? Of course, I will and I am allowed to.”

He further added, “3. Am I a disgrace like Morgan said I was? Of course NOT.” 4. Did I fight?
