Australian coach Justin Langer has been in praises for his team after they clinched the historic series win in India. When the Australian team landed in India for a two-match T20I series before playing the five One-Dayers, no one gave them a chance to win either of the series. But three weeks later, Australia won both series and forced India to do a soul searching.

While Australia won the T20 International series with full domination, they came from behind in the ODI series to win their first ODI series since January 2017. Now, Coach Langer is having happy headaches as who will make way for Steve Smith and David Warner once they finish their year-long ban.

Langer told media, “It’s really hard to change winning combinations. We’ve got a few selection headaches coming up obviously, but if we keep winning, the guys will be putting their best foot forward. I’ve said throughout if we keep winning, selection usually looks after itself. It’s been one of our philosophies.”

Meanwhile, the head coach also concerned with his players, as they are putting individual efforts to make it to Australia’s World Cup squad, adding: “It’s a real danger time in Australian cricket for a lot of individuals because of World Cup selection.”

Langer signed off by saying, “The trap is – and it’s really normal for humans to be thinking about getting picked – if you put the emphasis on yourself, you tend to put too much pressure on, and you don’t go well and we (the team) don’t go well. That’s why I’ve been so pleased with this group of players, it’s been about ‘we’ – we’ve talked about ‘we’. We talk about what ‘we’re doing’, not just what ‘I’m doing’, and that’s really important.”
