Out of favour Pakistan wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal has raced to 800 catches behind the stumps in the first-class cricket, which made him the only Asian players to achieve this feat.

As per reports, Amkal has been involved in 865 dismissals behind the sticks, while 804 of them are catches apart from 61 stumpings in 227 matches.

He is representing WAPDA in Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, Pakistan’s domestic first-class tournament, since 1997. Also, he has featured in 53 Test matches for his national side.
