The IPL franchise Mumbai Indians had a wonderful campaign in the last season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). He even helped Mumbai Indians (MI) to lift the trophy as well last year against RPS in the final. A lot of credit for Mumbai’s success in 2017 goes to the left-handed youngster Nitish Rana. 

In the IPL 2015, Rana was bought by Mumbai Indians for INR 10 lakh, but unfortunately, he didn’t play any match in that season. He is an attacking batsman by nature and he was first picked by his native Delhi in 2012-13 as a limited-overs player. He was bought by KKR in IPL players’ auction 2018. Even in the first game, he grabbed the wickets of AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli of RCB on two consecutive balls.

Rana has got the opportunity to feature in KKR’s playing XI this year and he has made the most out of the opportunity. He was the leading run-scorer for Mumbai and also was the orange cap holder for a couple of matches last year.

The southpaw is creating news with his hitting prowess and even with his bowling in the ongoing season of the IPL.
