While the IPL 2022 has been going on with a bang, Deepak Hooda and Krunal Pandya made headlines as they have been picked by the same franchise – Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the mega auction for IPL 2022. However, this won’t be surprising to fans if they haven’t had a bitter past.

Almost a year ago, Deepak Hooda stepped out of Baroda’s bio-bubble just ahead of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy after a spat with captain Krunal Pandya. Moreover, Hooda also alleged that Krunal Pandya was trying to pull him down and he even warned Deepak Hooda that he would ensure he did not play for Baroda again in future. Hooda then left the Baroda team and later he joined Rajasthan to play domestic cricket as well.

And, then they are playing for the same franchise in the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League as well. However, it seems like they have made peace with the past and are currently enjoying the success of their team’s win together in the IPL. During the IPL mega auction in February in Bengaluru this year, LSG bought Deepak Hooda for 5.75 crore and Krunal Pandya for a whopping Rs 8.25 crore as well.

“Krunal Pandya is like my brother, and brothers do fight. We are playing with one aim, which is to win games for LSG,” Deepak Hooda told Dainik Jagran in an interview.

When Deepak Hooda was asked about what was his reaction when he got to know about Krunal Pandya. He said: “I was not watching the IPL auction. We met just like the other players at the team hotel. Whatever happened is in the past, and as I said, we both are playing for the same team and our goals, too, are the same.”

As far as their performance is concerned, LSG are currently at the fifth position with 2 wins from 3 matches as well. They are currently playing against Delhi Capitals on April 7 at the DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai as well.
