The young Indian chinaman Kuldeep Yadav has been an absolute revelation for Team India. He has not looked back since making his debut in 2017 during the Australia series at home and is now one of the best spinners in the world.

Before his arrival, India was struggling in the spin department with finger spinners Ravi Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja failing to make an impact on unfriendly pitches. But things turned around quickly since Kuldeep arrived along with Yuzvendra Chahal. He has already left his mark in South Africa, England, Australia, and New Zealand in addition to delivering in India and is now gearing up for his biggest task till date – the World Cup.

In just 41 ODIs, he has scalped as many as 82 wickets including a hat-trick against the Aussies in his debut series and has forged a strong spin partnership with Yuzvendra Chahal. Well, Kuldeep also has a soft corner for football. The India star is a die-hard fan of Brazil superstar Neymar and time and again he has shown it through his deeds on social media.

In a recent candid interview, Yadav revealed just how big a fan he is. He revealed how he found it tough to deal with Neymar’s decision to leave Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain. In August 2017, Neymar had moved from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain for a world-record fee of £200m. He also stated that the incident resulted in him supporting both the clubs now.

As per the quotes in Sportskeeda, Kuldeep said, “It’s a very difficult question to ask. Before, when Neymar was in Barcelona, I used to support them. Nowadays, I am supporting both PSG and Barcelona, because Barcelona is my team and Neymar is my player. So yes, I am supporting both. I want Neymar to be back in Barcelona again.”

Yadav further recalled the two days he spent crying after seeing his favorite player leave his favorite club to move to Paris.

The chinaman bowler further elaborated, “You must have seen my Instagram post. I was literally crying for two days. I didn’t want him to go to PSG. Barcelona is my team, and I wanted him to stay at the club, and maybe create some more records with Lionel Messi.”

Currently, Kuldeep is playing for India in the ongoing five-match ODI series against Australia at home. Thereafter, he will play for Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League before flying to England for the World Cup.
