Sunrisers Hyderabad took on Kings XI Punjab on Monday where they comfortably won the game by 45 runs. However, there were a few stats came out from the game which is lesser known. In 2014, Sunrisers Hyderabad failed to defend a total of 206 against the Kings XI Punjab while Kings XI Punjab failed to get past the line against Hyderabad on Monday in a chase of 212 in Hyderabad. However, Punjab lost all their last five games against Hyderabad in the last five seasons at the same venue.

David Warner’s formidable form continues:
The 12th edition of Indan Premier League (IPL) went on a high note for David Warner as he ended the campaign with his 9th fifty-plus score in 12 innings. He has now become the first player to score nine fifty-plus scores in two different IPL editions. Earlier, he had done these in 2016 IPL season. However, in the same edition, India captain Virat Kohli smashed a total of 11 half-century—plus scores which included four centuries. Kohli and Warner are the two players who have more than nine fifty-plus scores in an IPL season.

David Warner has now registered as many as ten half-centuries in the IPL against the Kings XI Punjab. No other player has scored more than eight 50+ scores against one opponent in the IPL. In fact, Warner had previously scored a fifty in each of his last eight innings against Punjab. Warner also scored half-centuries in each of his last five innings against Chennai Super Kings and he also had scored seven fifties back-to-back against Royal Challengers Bangalore during 2014-2016.
A tough time for Mujeeb ur Rahman:
One of the great spinners in making, Mujeeb ur Rahman has had a bad in the office during their clash against Hyderabad. He conceded 66 runs in his four over-spell and became the first spinner to give away 60+ runs in an IPL game. He also became the second most runs conceded by a spin bowler after leg-spinner Anthony Martin gave away 70 runs during a game for the Leeward Islands against the Trinidad & Tobago in the 2012 Caribbean T20 game.

Rashid Khan took 50 wickets:
Sunrisers Hyderabad spinner Rashid Khan became the second player after her Hyderabad teammate Bhuvneshwar Kumar (104) to bag 50+ wickets for the Hyderabad franchise in the IPL. He reached his 50th wicket while taking the wicket of Mayank Agarwal.
