Matthew Kuhnemann happy to get valuable tips from Ravindra Jadeja

Australia left-arm off-spinner Matthew Kuhnemann shared that he met with India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja after the series and had a productive chat about bowling in India and Australia as well. Kuhnemann, who made his Test match debut in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 before Ashton Agar had said before flying out of Australia that he was a big fan of none other than Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin and had been following them closely in the Test series as well.

Matthew Kuhnemann was drafted into the Australian team after Australia fell to a heavy defeat in the first Test match of the series. Kuhnemann played three matches and left an immediate impact, picking up 9 wickets in the series, 6 of which came in the Indore Test match, the only Australian win from the tour as well.

“It was probably about 15 minutes, he (Jadeja) was just giving me some awesome tips; we talked about everything,” Kuhnemann told AAP. “Nathan Lyon helped organised it (the chat) as well,” Matthew Kuhnemann further added.

He also revealed that another Australian debutant – Todd Murphy had also impressed Ravindra Jadeja, alongside him and Nathan Lyon.

“He gave me some good tips for the next time we’re in the subcontinent and some tips to go back home with as well,” Matthew Kuhnemann said. “He was really nice and just said any time to reach out, and even sent me a message on Instagram, so that was pretty cool,” the spinner shared.
