Kamlesh Nagarkoti has a back injury and Shivam Mavi has a back stress fracture, both of them were bought by Knight Riders last season where Nagarkoti also had missed the last season as his foot was injured. Mavi had played 9 matches for KKR and did not have a good season as he only took 5 wickets.

Sandeep Warrier

Sandeep Warrier who plays for Kerala state at Domestic level cricket will replace Nagarkoti as the prime bowler in the Knight Riders campaign. Warrier has the ability to extract bounce off the wicket and surprise batsmen, with his accuracy he bagged many 5-wicket hauls in Ranji Trophy. He was there in the squad of Royal Challengers Bangalore from 2013-2015 but never played even a single game for that team.

Also, English bowler Harry Gurney will be the key bowler for the side as he has the experience of all over the World as he has played major leagues and also played in the Big Bash League for the Champions Melbourne Renegades wherein 8 matches he took 9 wickets with the economy rate of 7.47.

Gurney’s whirly left-arm action may look ungainly and also has lots of variations which he uses at crucial moments to pick big scalps. Also, Lockie Ferguson from New Zealand will be considered as a bowling option can also be played alongside Gurney or as his replacement.
