Amid the coronavirus pandemic outbreak across the world, most of the people are spending time at home. Recently New Zealand fast bowler Mitchell McClenaghan is one of them who took to social media and interacted on Twitter. He said that Rohit Sharma could have made a difference in the two-match Test series between India and New Zealand. New Zealand outplayed India in the One Day International and Test series while India thrashed the Kiwis in the five-match T20I series.

Rohit Sharma, however, was ruled out of the ODIs and Test series against New Zealand due to a calf injury while batting in the fifth T20I at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui as well. Captain Virat Kohli had a rather forgetful form during the series where he scored only 38 runs which came at an average of 9.50. He scored a total of 218 runs in the 11 innings (four T20Is, three ODIs and four Tests) that he played against the Kiwis and ended the tour with just 14 in his last innings as well.

Moreover, former India captain Kapil Dev had also said that Virat Kohli needs to practise more as his reflexes and hand-eye coordination have probably slowed down. But another former India opener Virender Sehwag said that it happened because he was out of form.

“When you reach a certain age, when you cross 30 then it affects your eyesight. In swings, which used to be his strength, he (Kohli) used to flick them four, but now he has been dismissed twice. So I think, he needs to adjust his eyesight a bit,” Kapil Dev had said.

Coronavirus has affected not only everyone’s lives but also sporting events across the globe which included the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League which was about to begin from March 31 but the BCCI pushed back to April 15 amid the novel coronavirus pandemic in the country as well as globally.
