England have successfully registered a convincing victory over India in the first session of Day 4 in the third Test on Saturday. And, Ollie Robinson was happy to be named Man of the Match in his first win for England as well. He did the major damage in the middle-order with the second new ball as England levelled the series with an innings and 76 runs win as well.

Howveer, it was Robinson’s second five-wicket haul in the Test series and he helped his team quite well to secure the win comprehensively as well.

“It’s a dream to be honest, to get a man of the match award in my first win for England. I enjoyed bowling here before, and it’s nice to use the conditions here, so I’m happy to get a five-for here,” Ollie Robinson said after winning the player of the match award.

Notably, Ollie Robinson, who has dismissed India captain Virat Kohli late on the fourth day of the Leeds Test, has said that his plan was to angle it away from the experienced batsman at a fifth stump line so that he could dismiss him easily.

“To bowl with Jimmy and learn from him is an honour. It has only improved my game. I keep learning and trying to be as good as possible. It’s nice to get Kohli after he got me for two fours in the over – it’s a simple plan to Virat, fourth and fifth stump, get it to angle away, and hope he nicks it and he did,” Robinson added.

“Feel fine, nice to have a break between Tests, freshen up and get the body recovered, looking forward to the next,” Ollie Robinson concluded.

With the five-match Test series tied at 1-1, both England and India will now try to take a lead in the Oval Test, which is all set to begin from September 2 as well.
