During the third T20I of India’s tour of Australia in 2016, Suresh Raina and Yuvraj Singh remained unbeaten till the end to gift India a seven-wicket victory. The win enabled India to whitewash the three match series.
Having lost the second T20I at Melbourne by 27 runs, Shane Watson, captaining his team in this match, won the toss and chose to bat. He backed his decision with a maiden T20I hundred, 124 (71), with the help of 10 fours and six sixes.
His efforts enabled Australia to score 197-5 in 20 overs. For India, Ashish Nehra, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Yuvraj Singh, all picked up a wicket each.
On the back of individual half-centuries from Rohit Sharma (52) and Virat Kohli (50), just when India seemed to seal the chase comprehensively, the duo got out. From then on, Raina (49*) and Yuvraj (15*) won the match for India in the last over.
