The Caribbean right-arm pacer was reported for the suspected bowling action after an ODI match against New Zealand on December 24, last year. In May 2018, he faced a banned from bowling in international cricket. Since the last December, Beaton hasn’t played any competitive match including the ongoing Caribbean Premier League (CPL 2018).

Since then, he worked on his action to adjust with the regulations of International Cricket Council (ICC). Recently, on August 13, a reassessment was conducted at Loughborough University where it was found that Beaton’s deliveries are now within the 15-degree level, the maximum permitted level under the ICC bowling regulations.
