Sakshi Dhoni Deletes Her Fiery Tweet On Husband’s Retirement

On Wednesday, MS Dhoni’s retirement once again became the talk of the town as #DhoniRetires started trending on Twitter. However, as a reaction to it, his wife Sakshi took to the micro-blogging site to clear the air and said that the lockdown had made people “mentally unstable”.

Tweeting about the same, Sakshi wrote: “It’s only rumours ! I understand Lockdown has made people mentally unstable ! #DhoniRetires Get a life.” Soon after her tweet went viral on social media, she deleted it. After Sakshi’s statement, the trend on Twitter changed from #DhoniRetires to #DhoniNeverRetires as fans came in support of the former Indian skipper.

Talking about the same, another fan tweeted: “Sakshi Singh Dhoni Mam finishes off in her husband’s style. Absolutely magnificent shot. #DhoniNeverRetires @SaakshiSRawat.”

 

Recently, veteran India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh said that according to him MS Dhoni has played his last match for India. He said, “As far as I know him, he won’t want to wear India blue jersey again. IPL he will play but for India, I think he had decided World Cup (2019) was his last.”

Dhoni has been on a sabbatical since India’s semi-final loss to New Zealand in the World Cup 2019. The former India captain was set to lead Chennai Super Kings in the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) but the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) postponed the lucrative league indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Currently, India is going through a nationwide lockdown. Meanwhile, the number of coronavirus positive patients in India went past 159000 with almost 34600 people losing their lives on Thursday, as per the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).

Almost the entire is in a lockdown due to the scare of the ever-escalating situation concerning the World Health Organisation-recognized pandemic that is the Coronavirus. Everything- schools, colleges, airports, railway stations, gyms, sporting events, movies, offices- have been put under lockdown as the world continues to self-isolate in order to control the pandemic.
