Notably, a video went viral where Sanju Samson can be seen not being involved in the strategy for the Super Over against the Delhi Capitals on social media. This also sparked a discussion among fans as well. However, in the video, Samson was outside the team huddle in the RR dugout, where Dravid was speaking to some players as well.

“I don’t know where these reports are coming from. Sanju and I are on the same page,” Rahul Dravid said while speaking at the pre-match press conference.

However, Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson has been facing injury scare in the initial stages of their IPL 2025 campaign. Later on, they registered successive victories over the Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings as well. Unfortunately, they have lost three consecutive matches since then.

However, Rahul Dravid also assured that Sanju Samson, being the captain, is an important part of the captaincy group and has a major say in decision-making as well.

“The decisions are being made by me and with Sanju Samson being an integral part of that and consultation with our other coaches and our analyst team. No one claims that every decision that even experts make works out and is correct. But I respect the fact, and I am very confident of the team that I have around me, that is supporting me and Sanju in making these decisions,” Rahul Dravid further added.

Meanwhile, RR play their next match against the Lucknow Super Giants on Saturday, April 19 and Dravid provided a major update on Samson’s injury as well.

“Sanju experienced a bit of pain in the abdominal area. So we have gone for scans. He has done some scans today, so we are waiting for the results of those scans. And then once we get a bit more clarity around the scans and the severity of the injury, we’ll make a decision going forward and we’ll see what happens,” Rahul Dravid concluded.
