Just days ahead of the fifteenth edition of the IPL, there is one franchise that has never shied away from entertaining the fanbase at the best scene. It is Rajasthan Royals. It is no secret that Rajasthan Royals are quite active on social media portal, especially on Twitter. Recently, Yuzvendra Chahal started all the drama by hacking the RR official Twitter handle.
Upon doing so, he hilariously announced himself as the new captain of the Rajasthan Royals. This hilarious activity left the whole cricket fraternity in splits. Chahal uploaded a picture of himself while announcing the captain.
“Meet new captain of Rajasthan Royals” After the caption, he went on to tag himself on the post. The post went viral on social media. Earlier, Rajasthan Royals spent 6.5 crore to purchase the services of Chahal at the mega auction. Mumbai Indians were one of the teams that showed a great deal of interest to sign the spinner. However, Rajasthan Royals kept on raising the paddle at the auction table and they signed the veteran spinner.
Chahal will be seen in an entirely different outfit in the next season as he will be playing for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL. Rajasthan Royals lacked quality bowlers in their arsenal and Chahal will be looking forward to delivering the goods.
Sanju Samson recently trained at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. The Kerala skipper also attended a camp organized by the BCCI. In fact, the camp was all about briefing the white-ball players in view of the T20 World Cup 2022.
The marquee event will kick off in Australia later this year. Meanwhile, Samson joined the RR franchise after attending the camp in Bengaluru. The RR captain took to his official Instagram handle and asked the fans to come up with questions.
In his Instagram story, the skipper captioned, “Here I am again doing my 100th quarantine.. questions please”. Meanwhile, Yuzvendra Chahal came up with a hilarious request that took Samson by surprise.
Chahal had asked that he wants to open with Jos Buttler this time. The leg spinner feels he can bat well after he hit a straight drive for a boundary against West Indies in the T20I series. Replying to Chahal’s request, Rajasthan Royals captain, Sanju Samson wrote, “Your decision sir” and then he tagged Yuzvendra Chahal.
