Shoaib Akhtar shares heartfelt message after knee injury

Former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar has been one of the fastest bowlers in the history of the game but he faced a lot of problems with his knee throughout his cricketing career as well. However, Akhtar recently underwent knee surgery and shared an emotional video for everyone saying if he had continued playing with knee issues he would have ended up in a wheelchair as well.

However, Shoaib Akhtar has been known to be one of the most dangerous fast bowlers with his stunning pace. He claimed 178 Test wickets from 46 matches and 247 wickets from 163 ODIs in his international career. Akhtar also left a mark in T20Is taking 21 wickets from 14 matches as well. He has many achievements to his name but his becoming the first bowler to bowl at 100 mph was undoubtedly special. Meanwhile, Akhtar had a successful career but he also struggled with his knee problems throughout his career. He also missed a lot of cricket matches due to constant knee problems.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan speedster underwent knee surgery recently in a hospital in Melbourne, Australia. He then upload a video on his Instagram profile informing all that the surgery went well and asking for good wishes for his recovery also. The pacer further made a statement that if he would have extended his career it would have seen him becoming a wheelchair person as well. He also stated that he would have played at least 4-5 years more for sure if he hadn’t suffered with the knee issues..
