Veteran New Zealand commentator Simon Doull made headlines once again for his weird commentary during PSL 2023 where he commented on Hassan Ali’s wife Samiyaa Arzoo after Islamabad United beat Multan Sultans by 2 wickets in a nail-biting thriller at the Pindi Club Ground in Rawalpindi as well.

However, the game took place between Islamabad United and Multan Sultans on March 7 making it a thrilling one as the Islamabad-based franchise clinched the win on the second last delivery of their innings. Just after the final run was scored by all-rounder Faheem Ashraf, the winning team’s players started celebrating the thrilling victory. And, the camera then shifted towards Hassan Ali’s wife Samiyaa Arzoo after which broadcaster Simon Doull commented on her.

“She has won it. She has won a few hearts as well I believe. That is superb, absolutely stunning. And the victory,” Simon Doull said on air after Islamabad United’s win. However, The Kiwi commentator received a plethora of reactions from netizens for his weird remark on Hasan Ali’s wife Samiyaa Arzoo.

Earlier, Simon Doull had faced criticism from cricket fans for his harsh comments on Pakistan skipper Babar Azam during a PSL match. Doull had said Babar Azam putting his personal milestones ahead of the team’s cause as well.

“Rather than putting the team first… the last little while, that’s all that been happening. Rather than looking for boundaries, still so much firepower to come. Hundreds are brilliant, stats are great, but it has to be team first,” Simon Doull had said during the ongoing Pakistan Super League game.
