Former England captain, Micheal Vaughan, was out bowled 22 times in Test cricket. Vaughan, who made his test debut in 1999 against South Africa in Johannesburg and played his last test against the same opposition in 2008 at Birmingham, was out bowled in 21 of his 82 appearances for England.
In 82 test matches, he has scored 5,719 runs at an average of 41.44 and a strike rate of 51.13, including 18 centuries and 18 half-centuries. In the 22 test matches in which he was out bowled, his numbers fell to 490 runs at an average of 22.27 and a strike rate of 43.87, including a century and a half-century.
The numbers put light on how Vaughan was more vulnerable towards the start of his innings throughout his career. On the other hand, it was difficult to break his defence or bowled him once he crossed the 50-run mark (2 out of 22 times).
