The outbreak of the Covid-19 virus has affected the world severely. It has brought the world to a standstill with many countries being completely lockdown for safety and to contain the spread of the virus.  Many major sporting events have either been postponed or canceled in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic affecting the globe.  Cricket has also suffered a similar fate with many international and domestic matches being canceled. In a recent interview conducted on Kevin Pietersen ‘s Instagram page, South African fast bowling legend Dale Steyn revealed how he was preparing himself for the next PSL game before things went south and he was back in South Africa.

“I was in South Africa even before the match started, it was very quick,” Dale Steyn said in an Instagram interview with former England player Kevin Pieterson.

“Was playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) this year, so were AB de Villiers, Virat Kohli, and Aaron Finch. Had to go to IPL directly from PSL, after that had to go to Sri Lanka and then play against West Indies but everything is like just gone.” said Steyn

Just like India, the South Africa government has imposed a national wide lockdown on the country. The Proteas pacer believes that the current situation is a test for humanity.  “It is a test for us, the time when people have to take care of each other but they are at the beaches, I mean what are they doing, there must be a reason why that is happening. I can do my own laundry, I will clean my room as well during the period,” he added.

Finally, the English batsman Kevin Pietersen asked Dale Steyn to name one countryman who would hate staying locked indoors. The fast bowler was quick in and named SA legend and all-rounder Jacques Kallis, who recently became a father. “He became a father recently, he will be changing the nappies and would not even be able to come out of his house,” Steyn said.
