Team India In England Supported The Team In Sri Lanka In A Crunch Game

The Indian fast bowler, Deepak Chahar went on to amassed his half-century in ODI as India sealed the three-match series against Sri Lanka with a thrilling win in the second game on Tuesday. Chahar’s knock (69 not out) not only kept fans on the edge but he also managed to keep regular India skipper Virat Kohli, head coach Ravi Shastri, and other members of the Test squad, who are in Durham preparing for the upcoming five-Test series against England, on their toes while watching the game.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) took to Twitter to share a video of Indian players cheering for Dhawan’s men during the 2nd ODI. Captioning the video on Twitter BCCI wrote: “When #TeamIndia in Durham cheered for #TeamIndia in Colombo. From the dressing room, dining room, and on the bus, not a moment of this memorable win was missed. #SLvIND.”

In the video, Kohli, Shastri, Ajinkya Rahane, and Shardul Thakur can be seen having discussions regarding the India-Sri Lanka ODI while Ravichandran Ashwin was captured praising Deepak Chahar for his match-winning knock. In the match, the Indian team was chasing a target of 276 runs, was in trouble after losing five wickets with just 116 runs on the board.

When Chahar came out to bat, India was still reeling being 116 runs from teh target. He stitched a 33-run partnership with Krunal Pandya and then an unbeaten stand of 84 runs with Bhuvneshwar Kumar to seal the victory for the visitors.

Deepak Chahar, who had picked up a couple of wickets in his 8-over spell earlier in the match, was adjudged player of the match for his all-around performance. Both teams will be locking horns with each other for the final ODI at the same venue on Friday.
